I. The appropriate service for the customer
In order to meet precisely your expectations, we separately follow through clients registred at payot.ch as follows : private customers on one hand, institutional clients (business, libraries, schools,…) on the other hand, the latter being directly taken care of by a specific Orders Department (in Lausanne) as far as orders and invoicing are concerned.
II. Create an account
You can open an account just by clicking on My Account, accessible on any page of Payot.ch (upper right part of your screen). When activated, this link allows you to access the « Creating an Account » page, which is due to become the access page to your account as soon as the latter has been created.
You can then initiate you Account Creation procedure by clicking on the « Ahead » key of the « New Customer » keypad.
You are intitled now to key in on one screen all the name and address details necessary for you customer registration, as well as your preference regarding payment method, delivery choice, together with your e-mail address and your selected password.
In case of credit card payment, on-line order procedure will lead you on to introduce your credit card details. These data will be stored by our partner Saferpay with the highest security standard.
When ordering on-line, you will have the opportunity to modify your billing address, as well as adding one or several delivery address(es).
After you have registred all your customer details, you will get a confirmation message on your personal e-mail address.
III. Managing your account
Once your account has been opened, you can access it easily from all Payot.ch pages by clicking on My account and then identifying yourself with your login [email address] and password, which you will have chosen when creating the account.
You can easily update your e-mail- address in your profile : just select « Modify my customer details/registration » and key in your new e-mail address, the exact wording of it having to be confirmed on the spectific area right below.
You can proceed similarly in order to update your password.
By accessing its home page, you can edit your personal information by changing your particulars [billing address] or your addresses [delivery addresses]. However, no changes to your billing address or delivery address[es], if registered by us, will apply to orders currently being processed. The changes will however take effect for subsequent orders.
Your account is also your gate to current and previous orders tracing. The recapitulation is chronologically presented, so that you can ask details about any order separately. Caution : this recapitulation allows no indication on the present state of a current order, and mentions all orders ever placed, even if later successfully cancelled, with the exception of free orders, the management of wich is totally independent of the book titles data base.
Finally, from your account you can access your personalised Services, such as any articles added to your Basket or Your List, compiled with the books selected while browsing on the Payot.ch site, which you can send to a friend or, alternately, add in full or in part to your basket. Your Basket and Your List are accessible at all times from all Payot.ch pages by means of the icons located at the top of your screen. In addition, from this part of your account you can Manage your information letters, which differ depending on whether you choose to use the French or English version of Payot.ch, as well as Notifications you have specified concerning a subject, an author, a publisher or a collection, for which you can vary the frequency of dispatch [daily, weekly, monthly] or delete and replace with new ones.
III. Forgotten your password
Forgotten your password or the password you entered does not work?
If this happens, a screen prompting you to enter a new password will appear. Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail Address field. After a few minutes, an e-mail will be sent to this address asking you to click on the link it contains so that you can specify a new password for access to your account.
Take note: for security reasons and in order to protect most effectively the personal data you give us, you have a limited period of time in which to click on this link, failing which you will be required to recommence the change password procedure.
Once you have clicked on this link, you will be able to create your new password on Payot.ch.
