APPRENTICESHIP
The best pathway for young people to join our fine profession is an apprenticeship leading up to a CFC certificate as a bookseller. This apprenticeship lasts for three years, or in some cases two, depending on the level of prior training (school-leaving certificate or other CFC for example).
To apply, please send a complete file directly to the bookshop concerned. Apprentices are generally recruited between the months of March and May. The recruitment procedure includes a few days of work experience in the bookshop to enable both sides to confirm an interest in the profession.
Apprentices take up their duties on 1 August each year.
